On a corner, one sees opportunity: more glass, more light, more life open to the day. The other sees risk: too many eyes, too much street, too much house facing outward. The decision was not to balance those desires: it was to separate them with precision. The result does not choose between opening or protecting. It allows both at once, without either being a concession.
Toward the street, a restrained piece holds its presence without becoming a display case. Inward, the main openings face the best orientation and the house builds its own intimacy.
A courtyard, open on one side, organizes all circulation: it is the core that gives vitality and movement to the rooms and access points, and the mechanism that allows light and privacy to coexist without interfering with each other.
From the outside, the house reads as a contained and precise piece. From within, everything relates to the courtyard: movement, light, access to each room. The corner that divided the couple ended up being the device that made the project possible.
